horrendous place! AVOID like the plague

this was awful from start to finish. i had booked with Agoda and pre-paid so i had to stay here but Agoda were useless later and the hotel is one of the worst i can imagine. The rooms (we had 2 ) were tired looking but we took them as we felt we had no choice. later i saw the bathroom fittings were dire, the toilet never worked even though they said they fixed it, there were nasty stains on the bedding, cockroaches in the room, etc. see the photos!

We stayed for two nights during Diu Festival. The check-in time is 11:30am but we arrived at 9:00am; however, the hotel was kind enough to take care of our luggage despite all the rooms were full. After roaming around Bunder Chowk and Market which is at walkable distance from the Hotel, we got back to the hotel and the staff welcomed with chilled water and our luggage was already carefully placed in our room. Room: The room was spacious, fresh smell, clean, comfortable bed, nice colours and bathroom were clean. The balcony was a plus as we could be the fort and cricket ground Service: Fast service, friendly staff Food: The food served during our Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner was tasty and delicious. Not too spicy and with less oil which was very important for us. Bar: the bar had variety of choices for alcoholic beverages. In comparison to main stream bars the prices were reasonable and cheaper. The service was quick We checked-out and hotel was once again happy to take care of our luggage whilst we maximised our stay in Diu. Overall, I would recommend Hotel Ankur to anyone who is planning to visit and stay in Diu. We enjoyed it, my children’s enjoyed and I hope you enjoy it too.

The location of the ankur hotel is perfect. The room service is very good and quick. Both in room service and restaurant service. The rooms are average but basic amenities like ac and good bedding are maintained.

Excellent place to stay in Diu

We had a short visit to Diu for holidays with family. Perfect location right in the city area. Just in 2 mins of walk to main bus station and 5 mins to town centre. Stayed for 3 nights. We were given a warm welcome by friendly staff on arrival. Rooms were clean and neat. Lovely food with a bar by side. All services were great. Definitely will visit again and recommend to those who needs a cozy place and that too in very reasonable price.

Me and my partner went away for just the weekend. The hotel have their own secured car park which was great for our new car. The staff checked us in very quickly and were very inviting, and talkative. The actual room was lovely, and very nicely decorated and clean. The town was very close by and we did not have to use our car. The hotel has their own restaurant as well which was helpful. We also got a chance to speak to the owner of the hotel and he was lovely to explain things about Diu. They also arrange a birthday cake for my wife. Overall a great trip to Diu.
